Do These Bands Fux Live?

What better way to close out one more year of rocking NYC than on a 3.67*/5 catfish? Missed you Mr. Rev.

A relatively subdued night at TP for my second fill of Pynkie who was inexplicably getting married to her keyboardist. While she could do much better, she couldnt have done much better on her 4/4.5 slammer jammer dimanche.

Back2Back and back to the Paramount for another all out bangfest. Bumped some ugglies in the pit while Silverstein emoed all over US hardcore style. Only went down once that I pulled out of like I was breaking to the beat. 4.5/5 rages on.

Wanted to end the year with a bang, so why not start with the sensational Miss Gritt playing solo at the Sultan Room. She glazed us good while hammering the right notes for the 3.25/3.5 experience. Left with a signed vinyl for the wall of fame.

Even if we cant have nice things, we at least have a place to get down and dirty. Still again, way too many tall people and couples who stand in the front for the entire show in order to hype themselves up for their bland post-concert activities. Real passion is letting other people enjoy the show from the front. Still 4/5.

Had to ditch Casette after the opener cause the vibes werent ride, hightailing it to Purgatory just in time to sneak in for Spirit Ghost. Still too many asshole couples who will do anything to get in your way, but have a child. 3.5/4.5 change up night.

Back in NYC and back in 101. Was not expecting much from this late aughts band that first came on my radar nearly exactly 3 years ago with their single Albatross (which they played), but they certainly blew the doors wide open. 3.75/4 would rush out on a Wednesday. Not sure what's up with these aquatic band names.

Though Deep Sea Diver had been a bucketlist band for a while, unfortunately you really gotta check if there is a new album out. Still she at least captivated with a "You Go Running" and up-and-comers Coral Grief werent bad neither. 3/5

After a testy Uber drive, we finally solved the mystery of FIL's name. Note that they are in 3 of the pictures, while MtB is only in one indicating their relative importance to the night. My companion and I left before the posers could get overwhelmed by the latter's listless bass. 3.25/4. Oh also in Denver!

Oh no L'Eclair is sold out and the venue has a "no moshing" sign. Well better head down literally down the block where the opposite of all that is true. 4.666/5, would rage every time.
